🎙️ AI Between Science and Illusion: A Podcast Episode with Mackok webcast, with Dr. Mohammad Salem.
A conversation with Dr. Tahani Al-Khatib.
In this reflective and engaging episode, Dr. Tahani Al-Khatib joins us for a conversation about artificial intelligence—its meaning, possibilities, and philosophical depth. We explore important questions that continue to puzzle thinkers and scientists alike:
🧩 What is artificial intelligence, and can it truly “understand” like a human?
🧩 Can machines ever reflect consciousness, emotions, or lived experience?
🧩 What distinguishes symbolic from non-symbolic AI?
🧩 Is the idea of superintelligent AI realistic—or just science fiction?
🧩 How do we define human intelligence, and is it measurable?
🧩 What’s the role of the body, the mind, and the soul in human understanding?
🧩 Can AI develop self-awareness or free will?
🧩 Who is responsible for the actions of AI systems?
🧩 How can we make space for human creativity in a world increasingly shaped by intelligent machines?
This episode invites listeners to slow down and think carefully about the promises and limits of AI—and what it means for our shared future.
📌 A valuable listen for anyone curious about AI’s philosophical roots, ethical questions, and impact on human life.
